Week of August 16: Current Situation

Updated: Oct 12, 2020

Scripture Reading:

"And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched." (KJV)

This woman was condemned by religious law to a feeling, a belief: she was condemned to believe that she was soiled and unworthy. Not only was she unclean, but anything she touched was unclean. This meant it was her responsibility not to contaminate others.

I admire this Jewish woman. The ability to mentally and physically fight against the odds; religion, culture and beliefs. She came up with a plan to get herself clean. To find away out of her current situation. This woman waited for the right time to break all the rules! She got enough strength and courage to leave her home to touch the Jesus garment.

I come to encourage you to go through whatever you need too without worrying about breaking the rules! If you choose to stay where you are you stand the chance to lose what you need to be taught. Think! What did this Jewish woman learn that day? I believed she learned how to trust her gut. To push pass the naysayers, religion, culture and beliefs of something that once worked but now seems obsolete!

Whatever your motives are. I hope it's encouraging you to pursue the things of God; to learn life lessons. To teach  others about being in the dark is not as   bad as others would like them to believe. Especially when you can testify how you learned something about yourself while you were in your current situation.

Let Us Pray:

Lord, help me to trust you with my current situation. I no longer dwell in my own beliefs but in what I know. You are my Heavenly Father who speaks and orders my footsteps. Today and the weeks to come remind me of my place and your position in my life in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Be Blessed,

Minister Kim
