Week of June 7: His LovingKindness and His Truth
Scripture: Psalm 117:2
“For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.”
His LovingKindness and His Truth.
This week I had the opportunity to experience God’s lovingkindness. I was scheduled to turn in a project by a certain date. I missed the deadline. When I recognized I was a day late I grew fearful of missing an opportunity He had given me! I was upset and began to ask God for forgiveness. I didn’t want Him to think I was unappreciative. What I love about God is he knows your heart. You can’t fool Him!
Lovingkindness is another word for God’s grace. Our salvation, rooted in God’s choosing us before the foundation of the world, is “to the praise of the glory of His grace” God’s truth or faithfulness means that what He says and does are always consistent with Himself. If He promises something, He will do it. Everything that God does for us magnifies His lovingkindness and His truth.
I know we are dealing with various things. My issue certainly is not yours. But I say one thing we have the power to go to our Father which is in Heaven. To ask for forgiveness and mercy when we come up short. When life throws you a curve ball this week, don’t fret. Remember His Promise.
Let Us Pray:
Father you are God alone, there is no other like You in the earth nor the heavens. You give those who ask for their daily bread. Today we thank You for our daily bread that keeps us rooted and grounded in You. Lord, thank You that your promises never return to You void. Today we ask You for wisdom to never be tempted beyond what we can bear, and for you O Lord will always provide a way out of temptation for us in Jesus name Amen.
