Week of August 2: The Word

“ The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The Word

The word of God has been established for us! Calling yourself a Believer of Jesus does not exempt you from trouble coming to your door! There is no getting around it. Unexpected things will happen! It is how you respond that determines the level of your faith.

Back in June I heard an unexpected knock at my door. I proceed to inquire who was at my door. It was a family member seeking refuge! I initially looked them over and decided to welcome them in. Immediately they expressed their appreciation. Did I know what to expect afterwards, absolutely not? I trusted God! I knew He had orchestrated this unexpected encounter. I just needed to seek Him the most for continued guidance.

It is when we don’t seek God for guidance  we open ourselves to the tricks of the enemy. Jesus warns us in the book of John 10:10, The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy you! To destroy every plan the LORD deem you to have!

What doors are you willing to close before you seek God’s guidance?

Let’s Pray:

Jesus, help us to know and believe it is you who speaks, guides and protects us when unexpected events occur. Help those struggling to let go and do you will wholeheartedly today. We plea for your guidance in everything we do in Jesus name Amen. Minister Kim
