Week of October 18: WHO, will He call His Own?
"In the very place where it was said to them,‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God." Romans 9:26, NIV.
What confidence is here in these words of Apostle Paul “In the very place where it was said to them, “You are not my people, there they will be called children of the living God.” How much comfort and consolation is right here for the sinner trapped in his sin, the doubter who worries about God’s help, the sufferer bearing the weight of his heavy cross!
These words are the very Word of God, reminding us of WHO it is that is for us, WHO it is that delivered His own Son, WHO it is who will give us all things, WHO it is who justifies us by the coming of his son Jesus.
Because God does not condemn you, you are not condemned. Because God justifies you on account of His Son, you are justified. Because God delivered Jesus to death on the cross for you, He will indeed give you all things. You thus have no need to worry about any lack. Only continue to trust in the Lord, for His Word will indeed come to pass.
Wherever you are right now! I declare the weight of your circumstance to be removed in the name of Jesus! I declare your later days to be greater! I declare you are the righteousness of God! If God is for us, who can be against us! Walk in your power today!
Let us Pray:
Lord our God, we thank you that you have called us your children, a people who may serve you even in suffering and temptation. Grant that the grace of Jesus Christ may be in us so that we can be victorious over everything that life puts in our way and can withstand the distress that surrounds so many people in Jesus name Amen.
