Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Inhale and exhale all the while thinking about the goodness of Jesus. Nehemiah is talking to the people because they are feeling ashamed of the things they have done.
They could delight in the joy of the Lord because he is a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate.” You can as well. We serve the same God! Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful with nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Let Us Pray:
All-knowing and loving Father that You are. We give You thanks for a new day and a blessed week. No matter what may come in our lives, You can trust we will rejoice through it because we have You to turn too, in Jesus name Amen

Scripture: 1 John 4:16 (NIV)
"Beloved" means to be greatly loved. No one can love us like God. He is love. God spoke the world into existence with love. Jesus is the greatest expression of God’s love for us so that His great love can live in us. We are His beloved children, undeserving of His love yet chosen to receive it.
When the world attempts to squeeze and isolate you, push back with 1 John 4:16. Let His Word become your daily anthem. Through Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit lives in us to interpret and apply the truth. Let’s pray for hearts to open to hear and eyes open to see that His love is alive and active. His Word reminds us who we are: beloved purposed and cherished children of the one true God, Amen.

Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
Are you producing spiritual fruit?
Imagine if a gardener plants a tree in his/her front yard, but after awhile, decided it would look better in the backyard. Then after a few months, realized it would be better in the front yard. So he/she digs and plants again in the front yard. Not only will that tree fail to flourish, but it also will struggle to just survive.
Are you struggling just to survive? This is not God's intention. He wants you to produce good fruit sow into your family and community.
Ask God to show you every area of your life. If you are producing the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control? Praise God. If not take time out to read Galatians 5:22-23.

Scripture: "And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
We are like Moses. When led by God, we do not see God's face, but his back. Why is that? We cannot see his face, because we cannot see him coming. We see God's back, because we see where he has been, and what he has done in the past. We do not anticipate, or second-guess God. It is only after long reflection that we are finally struck with what God has been doing all along.
We are always looking for a sign, aren't we? Recently, I was dealing with a situation. I needed to make an important decision but was unable on my own. I shouted out to God for help. "I ask Him to show me a SIGN." It was in the WAITING that I grew inpatient because I knew the deadline was vastly approaching. I couldn't eat, sleep or rest.
Are you waiting on God to send you a SIGN?
God promised Moses his presence. God replied to Moses' prayer his request for a sign by saying, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest" (Ex. 33:14). God personally and providentially led Moses and the nation of Israel. God offered something better than guidance; he promised to be their GUIDE. He promised to accompany them, to be with them. He was not some God that only lived in a heavenly domain, but rather a God that chose to come down and live among his people.
On this week remember this as you WAIT on God to give you a SIGN.
My Presence will go with you" (Ex. 33:14). As the old hymn "In the Garden" says, "And he walks with me, and he talks with me, and he tells me that I am his own, and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known." Regardless of our condition or circumstance, God is with us. Our situations don't change God. He is still with us.
Let Us Pray:
Heavenly Father we thank you for your presence as we enter into a new week. We ask that you guide us every step of the way. For your word is a lamp unto our feet. Show us the way to find rest in you, in Jesus name Amen
