His Mercies Are New Every Morning!!!
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
This year has been bittersweet thus far. Having circumstances changing around me left me feeling overwhelmed and weary. I found myself attending three funerals and missing four because I couldn't be in two locations at the same time! Are you finding yourselves facing huge battles? Perhaps you're walking through a difficult illness or dark seasons, and no matter how much you prayed, the difficulty seems to linger on for far too long.
I stopped by to encourage you this week to not give up. Hold on to God's promises that offer peace to our hearts in hard seasons. It was written for His people when times were very difficult. It gives us great hope in the battles we face today, like rays of light breaking through the darkest night.
For just as sure as the sun comes up every morning, we can be confident that His mercies never end. They are never based on how good we are, but only on His steadfast character. His compassion towards us is fresh every morning, and each day is a gift straight from His hand. We can trust His heart for us. This is what keeps me going! Now I pass this on to you... Keep pressuring for there is new mercy in the morning!

Why Is It Important to Study the Scriptures?
The scriptures contain the word of God. Latter-day prophets counsel us to study the scriptures every day, both individually and with our families. Studying the scriptures can help you know God, Jesus Christ and give you the power to resist temptation. All the while has given you the strength you need to endure your challenges.
I encourage you to prepare yourself spiritually by studying the scriptures.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 | NIV. There is power in His word.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 | NIIV
There is the peace that the scriptures give us. They unlock the promises of God. His protection and redemption.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7
Looking at these two scripture verses;
§ Psalms 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16–17
As parents, legal and spiritual guardians we raise our children a certain way for them to be able to leave home and start their lives. Their happiness and the happiness of future generations depends upon living those standards established what we taught by our words and actions! We wondered if we did our best in the process of raising young men and women when we see them going astray. This doubt can put a damper on our spirits. We question our parenting skills, some will go as far as become frustrated with our children and disown them.
The Apostle Paul prophesied and warned that “in the last days perilous times shall come.
“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, “Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despises of those that are good, “Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3-5. Paul also prophesied, “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13.
These verses serve as a warning, showing which patterns to avoid. We must be ever watchful and diligent. Paul also spoke of the wickedness of our day when he warned:
“When ye shall see these things come among you … ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation. …
“Wherefore, I, Paul , am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved. I have to stop right here; I have to give God praise. You mean I’ve been focused on what I see and not what I know!! You have been siding with the devil regarding your sons and daughters because you did not see the manifestation of God? The devil is the father of lies. He might have tricked you but I come to undo what he has done to you; cause havoc in your home, in your relationship with your children and God.
In Paul’s revelation, in addition to the list of challenges and problems, he also tells us what we can do to protect ourselves: “Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. The scriptures hold the keys to spiritual protection. They contain the doctrine and laws and ordinances that will bring each child of God to a testimony of Jesus Christ as the Savior and Redeemer.
Scripture teaches you where to go and what to do. The verses offer hope and knowledge.
When it comes to trials, tribulations, tensions, struggling, doubt and confusion read the scriptures. Get in the word of God. A feeling of peace and inspiration will come, and a solution will present itself.”

Scripture: Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With a long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16
King David wrote this song, reminds me of a songwriter by the name of Douglas Miller, who wrote a song called "My Soul Is Anchored." When I think about this song, I'm reminded of why it's important to know God. To have a true relationship with Him. Trails and Tribulations are inevitable; they shall come unannounced lease expected. It's how you handle them and with whom!
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Highest will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1
I love how King David starts off this Psalm. He lets us know whose going to be protected-secured in the time of trouble! Aren't you glad you are a child of God? You may not always see Him, or feel Him you might even forget He's there because of the pressure, stress, and anxiety that comes with Trails and Tribulations. Just know God never intended for you to fend for yourself. He protects his own.
Thank you for being with us during our darkest days. When we feel all hope is gone. When where seems to be no one; you are there! You are a presence with us, thank you for your Almighty Shadow. Thank you that you go before us, and cover us from behind. Thank you that you are in our midst and that our future is secure in the place you're preparing for us.
Your words bring such hope and comfort. Reminding us of your strength that doesn't have to do it alone. May those who are experiencing a dark moment or a season see a glimpse of your glory on this week. For I know victory and salvation are found in you alone, in Jesus name Amen.
